Rules and Regulations

Discipline:

              Students are hereby strictly informed to feel responsible to maintain dignity and decorum by upholding discipline.The residents shall maintain decency, dignity, decorum and sense of personal hygiene in the dining hall and in the hostel blocks.  Any resident of the hostel is liable for expulsion from the hostels for any misbehaviour, violation of the following Hostel Rules and regulations:

1. The students of the Hostel are expected to carry hostel identity cards withthem and shall show it whenever the authorities Principal, Warden,Deputy Warden, Manager, Staff of the hostel , Security, Vigilance and Police demand.

2. Students should stay in the rooms allotted to them by the Hostel authorities.

3. Outsiders(Dayscholars, Friends, Relatives or Any guests) should not be entertained inthe hostels.  Ifany such do so, the admission of the responsible inmates will be cancelled without prior notice.

4. Use of Electrical Heaters, stovesand cooking inside the hostel premises are strictly banned. Anyone found being so will be punished.

5. The Students shall take food only in the dining hall. No meals or breakfast shall be allowed to be carried out side the dining hall unless specially authorised by the Medical officer, if the student is sick. 

5. Make it fast in the shower. Use water inbathrooms and latrines and not give any scope for contagious diseases.

6. If any hostel furniture such as chairs, cots, tables,doors and windows, water taps, pipes, water coolersand electrical installations/appliances is damaged by the students, will be repaired & replaced and charges will be collected from the responsible students of the room.

7. Ragging, Eve-teasing, individual attacks, shouting, whistling, are strictly prohibited.  Hostelauthorities are not responsible for the criminal and other police disciplinaryaction taken against the defaulters.

8. Students are expected to maintain absolute silence and not to disturb others during the silence hour, from 10 pm to 6 am. Avoid making unnecessary noise when everyone else is sleeping.

9. Don’t leave your things lying around. Keep all your bed sheets, pillows, mats, clothes, books etc. in allotted racks and rooms.

10. Students are not allowed to play any kind of sports or games inside the rooms or blocks.

11. Students must switch off fans, lights etc before leaving their rooms.

12. Hostels students are not allowed to come into the hostel after 9.00 P.M.

13. Those who wish to leave the hostel during the public holidays/vacation periodany urgent or personal work, must obtain permission from the warden orauthority. Hostellers moving out of the campus without permission is strictly prohibited.

14. The complaints of water, electricity, food, maintenance should be noted in the complaint register which is available at the hostel office.Registered complaints only will be entertained.

15. The inmates must clean the rooms themselves and throw the dust in the dust bins in the corridor.  If any room is found unclean at the time of inspection by the

authorities, the inmates will be imposed with a fine.

16. The inmates of the hostel must maintain regular attendance at the college. They are not allowed to stay in the hostel during college working hours.

However written priorpermission should be obtained from the warden for any health reasons.

17. Birthday, New YearCelebrations,Meetings, Seminars,and Gatherings etc. are not permitted in the hostel without prior permission of the authorities.

18. Inmates shall be held responsible for any damage caused to hostel property or any electrical installation/appliances provided for them in their rooms.

19. The hostel premises should be kept clean, neat and beautiful. Writing indecentwords, slogans on walls, spoiling paintings on the walls, sticking any posters, pictures or notices on the walls/doors etc., is strictly prohibited.

20.Using Cell phones, Bikes and wearing gold or silver ornaments etc., are strictly prohibited in the hostel.  Any unauthorised usage of Cell Phone/Bike will be seized and imposed a fine.

21. Consumption of Liquor, alcohol, drugs, smoking, a non-vegetarian insidethe hostel is strictly prohibited.   The hostel authorities are not responsiblefor the action taken by the police in this regard and such boarders areliable for expulsion from hostel.

22. Theft/damages to hostel assets in common areas/corridors shall be recoveredfrom all students block/wing involved.  In case of theft/ damage to items that pertain to usage by the complete hostel, the recoveries shall be made from all the occupants of the hostel.

23. Any misleading or false statement or information in the application form shallrender the admission for termination. On such termination, student shall notentitled to stay and/or enter leave the premises of the hostel.

24. The management reserves the right to terminate any student for any wilful disobedience or defiance of authority or, causing damage to property.  In such cases the deposit shall be forfeited and fees will not be refunded.         

25. A Student shall not change/interchange his room with another student or shiftinto a vacant room without the previous written permission of the warden.

26. Students are responsible for their possessions of all valuables.  They shall not leave or keep any valuables: certificates, money, or costly items unguarded. Warden/Dy. warden has the discretion to inspect any room at any time.

27. Students shall take prior written permission of the warden before giving any information or interview regarding hostel to any member of the media.

28. No gambling/betting of any kind shall be allowed on the premises of the hostel.Students shall not bring, take and or drink any alcohol, drugs or any substance of smoke on the hostel premises.

29.Hosteller/boarder may be permitted to go home during holidays with written permission from parent (Not allowed without substantial reason permit exceptional circumstances.

30.Students shall keep their rooms, verandas and surrounding areas clean, neat and tidyat all times. Theyshall not throw any rubbishin places or any premises in the hostel except in the dustbin or the specified place.
