3.3: Extension Activities
3.3.1: Extension activities are carried out in the neighborhood community, sensitizing students to social issues, for their holistic development, and impact thereof during the last five years.
The institution is aware in caring out a generation, also would involve in social activities. The college promoted participation of students and faculty members in socio-friendly extension activities through various cells.
NSS(National Service Scheme):
The college has 2 NSS units, one unit for women and one unit as general unit. The NSS programme officers organize year-long activities such as Blood donation, Medical camps HIV/AIDS awareness programme, pulse polio clean and green, Immunization camps, Conservation of Energy.
Women Empowerment Cell:
This cell aims to create awareness of women rights and duties. It also provides a platform for women to share their experiences and views regarding their status in the society this cell also facilities the women’s empowerment through guest lecturers, seminars awareness programs and other welfare activities.
Eco club:
This club makes special efforts to inculate environment consciousness amongst students. It address the environment issues and to make institution premises eco-friendly. It conserves the environment through various activities like cleanliness drives, green campaign NSS activities etc.
Grievance and Redressal Cell:
The grievance and redressal cell makes more interactive, participative and effective based on the representation from the students. This committee comprise of seminor faculties, staff coordinators, hostel wardens, Heads of the Departments and students. This committee solve the grievances of the students within stipulated time.
Placement Cell:
The college authorities intend to create a placement cell this placement cell of the institution shall regularly conduct meetings to create awareness among he students regarding opportunities in various public and private sector companies.
Srivari Seva:
Sri Vari Seva committee is constituted for sending students to Hills (Tirumala) for the service to the pilgrims. This seva is compulsory for all students in T.T.D. Educational Institutions.
Bharath Scount& Guides:
It is a voluntary organization. There is a Rovers Unit attached to the college. Students who are desirous to enroll, may contact Scouts & Guides.
